The client wanted to convert the existing bedrooms in the roof space into more generous bedrooms with dormer windows and to refurbish a number of joinery features such as the front door and staircase.
The existing roof tiles were removed, chimneys re-built with original corniced detailing replicated ,the roof insulation brought up to current standards and the roof re-slated with natural slates.
New generously proportioned dormers afford increased head-room and light into the two bedrooms and storage was supplemented by building in new shelves in the eaves.
The central staircase was replaced in Oak and Front door, storm doors and glazed screen renewed in hardwood and coated with long life opaque stain to match the existing paintwork.
“It was particularly reassuring to have Keith act as the architect right through to the completion of the project .
We are thrilled with the design of our roof conversion and Keith's creativity and attention to detail made all the difference.”
